This year’s Club Series is a GTE/LMP3, mixed class team title. This means the final overall season title will not go to an individual, but to two drivers together running one GTE car and one LMP3 car. This is a teams championship, and running a full team is much more important than in regular championships. Each team will consist of two drivers and a replacement driver.

On the track, the team consists of one GTE car and one LMP3 car. Each driver must drive at least 6 of the 16 championship rounds in each class; drivers are not permitted to drive the same class for the whole season. The driving scenarios aside from that are free.

Weather

*Weather on race day is set one week ahead of the race. The real-world weather at the real-world race location seven days before the race determines the amount of weather slots and their settings. The weather of qualify will be determined eight days before the race, so it could be different from that of the race.

For example: A race at Brands Hatch on 18th May starting at 14:00 will have weather conditions determined by the real weather at Brands Hatch between 14:00 and 16:00 on 11th May, while the weather of qualify will be determined from the real weather on 10th May. If the weather during that period changed, then weather slots will be allocated to the race to reflect the real weather changes.

Points System

Points System Race

The standard championship points system will apply. Points from each driver going to the team total as in regular championships. Replacement drivers receive half points rounded up to the next full point (eg. half of 21 = 11 points).

In case 2 or more drivers (or teams) should finish the season on equal points, to determine the final standings we will take into account the factors below in this order:

  • Most Wins
  • Most Pole Positions
  • Most Podiums
  • Lowest Average LLPs
  • Best Minor Placings
  • Best Attendance

Associated Teams & Replacement Drivers

An associated team or one replacement driver should ideally be named in the team registration. A substituting driver can drive a maximum of five rounds during the season. Please have your associated team or replacement driver fixed before round 3.

Grid Setup

The starting grid is automatically arranged by class in PCars2. The first 8 positions on the grid will be occupied by the LMP3 cars, and the last 8 positions by GTE. This means that if you are running in GTE and are the fastest driver on track in qualifying, you will still start from position 9 on a full grid.

Special Event Rounds

Round 6 at Road America will be a twin sprint race event, the second race with reverse grid. There are two races but this is a single championship round, so drivers must run the same car in both races. The automatic class arrangement on the grid will be applied to the reverse grid, so the first half of the grid will be occupied by LMP3 cars but in reverse first race finishing order in the second race. This means that the last place LMP3 car will be on pole, and the last place GTE car will be in position 9 on a full grid. The reverse grid will be arranged as in GT3 last season with forced timings in second qualifying. Round 11 at Nurburgring will be a mini-enduro held on the full combined circuit. See the season schedule when it’s available for more details on these events.
